BILINGUAL FACILITATOR

Living Practices Consulting is a creative boutique specializing in social justice and political education, project management, and strategic communication. We support and amplify the efforts of organizations working towards liberation, justice, freedom and sovereignty.

We are seeking fluent bilingual (English and French) facilitators for a national workshop delivery program in 2026. Facilitators must have an in-depth and wide range of knowledge and experience educating in union spaces regarding topics in anti-racist, decolonial and Black feminist theory and practice.

Primary Responsibilities

Workshop Facilitation:

  • Lead engaging and impactful workshops in both French and English, focusing on anti-oppression and equity topics.

  • Tailor workshop content to the specific needs of diverse union spaces, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

Content Delivery:

  • Present complex concepts related to anti-racism, decolonial practices, and Black feminist theory in an accessible manner to participants.

  • Use interactive methods to foster participant engagement and encourage open dialogue.

Cultural Competency:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of cultural sensitivities and apply this knowledge to facilitate discussions on sensitive topics.

  • Create an inclusive environment where all participants feel respected and valued.

Program Development:

  • Collaborate with lead facilitators to refine and adapt workshop materials based on feedback and evolving anti-oppression educational trends.

  • Contribute to the development of new content that addresses emerging issues within equity and anti-oppression.

Assessment and Feedback:

  • Conduct pre and post-workshop assessments to measure participant learning and the effectiveness of the workshop.

  • Gather and analyze feedback from participants to continuously improve workshop delivery.

Reporting:

  • Collaborate on developing detailed reports on workshop outcomes, participant engagement, and areas for improvement.

  • Maintain accurate records of sessions delivered, including participant attendance and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and French

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in anti-racist, decolonial, and Black feminist theory and practice, specifically in union spaces

  • Strong facilitation skills with proven experience in workshop delivery

  • Must be able to travel

Compensation:
$1000-$1200 per session for 10-25 workshops.
